And the speculation begins... If you were around for the Cloverfield viral campaign you will remember people finding things in the trailer that weren't there, such as the monster in the smoke. Now I'm not saying that this is one of those cases, as it does resemble a face more than the smoke resembled the monster, but I'm sure many people will start finding things that don't exist in everything that's release or "found" for Super 8. With that being said, take a look at the image above courtesy of Carlton Halpert and make your own judgement.
This screenshot was taken towards the end of the trailer, just before the letters (which spelled out scariest thing i ever saw) are seen on the screen. Now, it does have the features of a human face, but it could also just be something completely different that our mind puts together as a human face when it's paused like this. Either way, I thought it was interesting enough to post up, so check it out and let us know what you think in the comments.

In the part where the car crashes with the train, I heard the words ¡Oh, my God!, and in the Cloverfield teaser, when the head of the statue of liberty crashes in the ground the same words are heard.

Also when we see the name of spilberg, me and a friend we saw something like jaws or even more, the face of a monster, some metallic sound and some scream, and something metallic, i don’t know(sorry for my english :s) maybe we’ve already seen the monster on the trailer
I might have found what looks like a small connection to Close encounters of the third kind, the truck that hits the train looks as the same as when the first time the aliens contact Richard Dreyfuss aslo this happens on train tracks… Its really nothing but showing i guess a homage to Spielberg.

The opening is an obvious homage to Close Encounters – the scene where Dreyfuss is parked at the railway crossing. Even the truck looks similar. CE: 1977 Super 8: 1979. The child’s face may just be part of a longer piece of film shot on a Super 8 camera – which may also include alien footage(?). The shouts and metallic sounds may be from other scenes in the movie, but work well with this trailer.
Back then, I remembered reading a biography of steven spielberg, it had him when he was a alittle kid, and he loved videotaping things inside his basement, even his parents would let him stay home from school, Anyways, there was one picture that had somewhat the exact same train wreck in the trailer, It was to say that the train wreck was from a little train model set he got. But that is all I remember,

Its not that little faggot from ET! If it is than that is extremely disappointing…unless the movie is SUPER terrifying and it scars the kid for the rest of his life and he is taken to a Mental Institution like in a Lovecraft story or something!

I’m really surprised that no one noticed this, but child actor Zach Mills is in the cast list. check out any picture of him, and you’ll see the unmistakable resemblance between him and this face.
