Paramount made an announcement today regarding the release date of Super 8... and that release date is June 10, 2011. So keep your calendars clear and I'll see you at the theater!
If you've been following the last post on the site regarding the chat log that recently appeared on the scariest thing I ever saw website then you may recognize a symbol on the truck above. During the chat log Josh mentions a canister with "3 dots" on it. Some people have left some comments saying that they have seen trucks driving around Weirton (where the movie is/was being filmed) with 3 dots on them... and now we have photographic evidence thanks to "BuzzMan". There also appears to be a shot showing JJ Abrams in the back of a truck as well as Kyle Chandler walking through the street.
BuzzMan sent quite a few great pictures so head on over to the gallery to see the rest of them!
The chat icon that was found a few weeks ago appears to have been made active in the past 24 hours. To view the chat icon simply press the arrow on the left side of the task bar on the STIES (scariest thing) website and it will appear between the printer and the sticky pad icons. Once clicked it will now prompt you for a password, that password is: toadfish112 . The password comes from the hook, line and minker site where one of the pictures on the right side indicates that the toadfish makes a "foghorn" type sound, which corresponds with the clue we were given the other day in the printout: "Bring the foghorn and the unexpected title.", the 112 part of the password comes from post #112 on the blog (http://www.hooklineandminker.com/?p=112) which starts with "well, that was unexpected.". (Thanks Janesmith)
Once you enter the password, after clicking the chat icon, it will tell you that your IP is not recognized and while push you into read only mode where you can then see the chat that went down between who I'm assuming is Josh and the person that has been contacting him through the printouts on the STIES site. The chat transcript reads as follows (thanks gramma on unfiction)

So I think it's safe to say that the hook, line and minker site is connected to all of this "officially". I had been holding out posting about it as I wasn't too sure it was all connected, but I think this seals the deal for me.
User Anarchic Mind in the forums posted a few images of a Rocket Poppeteers poster that he picked up at the NYC Comic-Con this weekend. It's a mini poster that shows Captain Coop Cooper, a woman named Cassie and a monkey astronaut. I can't tell you much about the poster other than what you can see in the image (close ups can be found on the forum), but Xeno Lambrose had some observations that could warrant discussion. He questions the legitimacy of the poster due to the fact that the Rocket Poppeteers Logo has changed, Captain Coop is missing a star on his uniform and there's no Copyright message anywhere, which we've seen on other RP stuff.
Personally I think that this is legit and is just a stylized poster. It's definitely not the style we're used to seeing on the Rocket Poppeteers designs, but I still feel like it's not a fake. It's hard to imagine that someone would get away with handing out fake merch at the NYC Comic-Con, but I could be wrong. So check out the poster and let us know what you think, is it real, is it fake? Did anyone else snag one of these at the Con? Let us know!
More Rocket Poppeteers Merchandise!

For those of you that were waiting for the next piece of the puzzle, here it is. A new line has appeared on the print out over at the scariest thing I ever saw site, but don't get your hopes up it's not much. I'm not sure if there's more to this than I can tell at the moment, but the new line is just that, 1 line and it reads as follows:
Meet me at 4D & 5O's last leg. Bring the foghorn and the unexpected title.
I honestly have no idea what that means so if anyone has any ideas or knows something I don't let me know in the comments. Thanks monochromatic for leaving a comment regarding this, appreciate it.
