The Firefight in Dulce, NM

I wanted to get my own research in before I posted on this topic because honestly I'd never heard of it, and thanks to Christian in the comments for bringing it to my attention. So lets jump into exactly what the Firefight in Dulce, NM was, or at least what people say it was.

In 1979 in Dulce, NM it is said that there was a firefight between 69 members of the secret service, FBI, Black Berets and the like, and large alien humanoids. 66 of the U.S. agents died in the fight and there were 3 survivors. One of those survivors, Phil Schneider, came forward to tell his story to the public and was found dead 7 months later.  His body was found in his apartment with piano wire wrapped around his neck and visible signs of being tortured before being killed....

At the lecture, Phil talked about all sorts of things related to secret government projects and conspiracies along with the information pertaining to the Firefight in Dulce, NM. In his story he says that they surprised a group of 70 "large greys" and in the end all of them were killed and there were only 3 survivors from the government, Phil being one of them. He does say that he was shot in the chest by an alien weapon that had subsequently given him cancer and possibly only a few months to live, which is probably why he felt he could come forward with his story. I have pasted the section of his lecture regarding The Firefight in Dulce, MN below, but there are other interesting things in the source link that make for a very interesting read.

If this is related to Super 8 in anyway, my theory is that The Firefight in Dulce, NM happened, but not all the alien humanoids were killed as Phil suspected. At least one survived and the government realized that they needed to move it to a more secure location, Wright Air Force Base, but obviously someone didn't want the train to make it there. Could it be that one of the other 2 survivors of the Firefight is the driver of the truck we see in the trailer trying to run the train off the tracks, thus killing the creature that killed the 66 men (and possibly women) during the firefight? Seems like a possible theory, but I'd love to hear yours..

The Fire Fight at Dulce Base

"Back in 1954, under the Eisenhower administration, the Federal government decided to circumvent the Constitution of the United States and form a treaty with alien entities. It was called the 1954 Greada treaty, which basically made the agreement that the aliens involved could take a few cows and test their implanting techniques on a few human beings, but that they had to give details about the people involved. Slowly, the aliens altered the bargain until they decided they wouldn't abide by it at all. Back in 1979, this was the reality and the fire fight at Dulce occurred quite by accident. I was involved in building an addition to the deep underground military base at Dulce, which is probably the deepest base. It goes down seven levels and over 2.5 miles deep.

At that particular time, we had drilled four distinct holes in the desert and we were going to link them together and blow out large sections at a time. My job was to go down the holes and check the rock samples, then recommend the explosive to deal with a particular rock. As I was headed down there , we found ourselves amidst a large cavern that was full of outer-space aliens, otherwise known as large Greys. I shot two of them. At that time, there were 30 people down there.

About 40 more came down after this got started and all of them got killed. We had surprised a whole underground base of existing aliens. Later, we found out that they had been living on our planet for a long time, perhaps a million years. This could explain a lot of what is behind the theory of ancient astronauts."

"Anyway I got shot in the chest with one of their weapons, which was a box on their body, that blew a hole in me and gave me a nasty dose of cobalt radiation. I have had cancer because of that."

"I didn't get really interested in UFO technology until I started work at Area 51, north of Las Vegas. After about two years recuperating after the 1979 incident, I went back to work for Morrison and Knudson, EG&G and other companies. At Area 51, they were testing all kinds of spacecraft. How many people here are familiar with Bob Lazar's story? He was a physicist working at Area 51 trying to decipher the propulsion factor in some of these craft".

This is just me thinking aloud here so please correct me if you find something else.

On the scariestthingieversaw.com website, the green screen makes mention of a name, D. Morris, so I decided to do some digging into any D. Morris that might have any relation to UFO's or Area 51 and I came up with Dan Morris and the following information about him.

Dan Morris is a retired Air Force career Master Sergeant who was involved in the extraterrestrial projects for many years. After leaving the Air Force, he was recruited into the super-secret National Reconnaissance Organization, or NRO, during which time he worked specifically on extraterrestrial-connected operations. He had a cosmic top-secret clearance (38 levels above top secret) which, he states, no U.S. president, to his knowledge, has ever held. In his testimony, he talks of assassinations committed by the NSA; he tells how our military deliberately caused the 1947 ET craft crashes near Roswell, and captured one of the ETs, which they kept at Los Alamos for 3 years, until he died. He talks about the intelligence teams that were charged with intimidating, discrediting, and even eliminating witnesses to ET/UFO events. He talks about Germany’s re-engineering of UFOs, even prior to WWII. He talks about our current energy crisis — and the fact that we haven’t needed fossil fuels since the 1940s, when free energy technologies were developed — but have been kept from humanity. This is the real reason for the secrecy of the ET/UFO subject. "What the people in power right now don’t want us to know is that this free energy is available to everybody." In conclusion, he warns against the weaponization of space and the shooting down of ET craft — this could force them to retaliate, and that would be our destruction.

It sounds like this could be the name mentioned in the computer on that site as he seems to have a lot of possible knowledge of UFO cover-ups and other information. So that's what I've dug up so far on the name "D. Morris" that appears on the viral site for the movie, nothing directly related to the campaign, but it could be something to work off of.There's a lot of information out there about him and things he's said, just google dan morris ufo.

Scariest Thing I Ever Saw

Those guys over at the unfiction forums are all over this just like they were with Cloverfield (and thanks to Yiddleja again for the tip). It looks like there were some letters that flashed during the trailer that have possibly been decoded to say "Scariest Thing I Ever Saw". And of course the first thing we're gonna do is punch that into a web browser and get www.scariestthingieversaw.com which seems to have been registered a little over a week after the super8-movie.com website was, and by the same registration company.

Here's the letters from the trailer thanks to unfiction user blaqueice:

The website shows a virtual computer of sorts, a PDP-11 actually. There are 2 windows on the screen, the main window is the green screen command prompt interface and behind that is a window that asks if you want to print all pages to default printer. I do not have a printer that I can print to here, but those unfiction guys are way ahead, apparently if you say yes to print you get the following:

Stop posting publicly. I can answer your questions.
I have proof.

>>>>

As for the green screen, if you follow the prompts and keep pressing "Y" you will eventually end up at a screen with what appears to be a counter. CrispyG4 over at unfiction figured out how long it will take for the counter to even out:

The number ticks every 5 seconds.

134640 parts. Start at 6000 so subtract those 6000 from the total: 128640

Times that by 5, you get 643,200 seconds until the countdown ends.

Divide that by 60, 10720 minutes. Divide THAT by 60, get 179 hours. Which is just around 7 1/2 days. So, probably around Noon on the 15th?

So it looks like, if this is connected, we may get a new reveal or something new around noon on May 15th, 2010. The only other thing that I noticed while playing with the green screens is the name D. Morris 05-FEB-77, so there could be a clue there.

And that's all I have for right now on this. I think it's probably legit and connected to the project based on the domain registration as well as the ip traces back to the same place that Cloverfield's sites were hosted on as well as the official site for Super 8.  I've posted a bunch of screenshots after the jump for those that may not be able to access that page for whatever reason.

UPDATE: It seems as though there's a slight change in the last "countdown" screen that I posted early this morning compared to what it shows now. Instead of only 2 of the lines having text in them, it has now moved onto the 3rd. I've posted a new screenshot after the jump below the previous one so you can see what I'm talking about.

UPDATE 2: The countdown is now on #19 of 20 and I've redone the calculation that was mentioned above and I seem to have come up with a different ending time of 10PM CST tonight or 11PM EST. Someone double check and let me know what you come up with, I could have miscalculated.

UPDATE 3 (6/2/10): A new folder has appeared behind the windows on the site, head on over HERE to discuss.
